I live and work in the Atlanta area. I have a wonderful family (beautiful, loving wife, wonderful kids, and many animals). My wife has prompted all this artistic activity, and I absolutely love her for continuing to push me in that regard. She is a very special woman, and I’m so lucky to have her!
I love being creative and exploring the different aspects of art. To me, art is more about the expression and feeling instead of the visual accuracy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m amazed and very envyous of those that paint and draw realistic things that look like they can move. Those people have wonderful talent. However, I love to see bold color and big, expressive lines with feeling behind them.
Anyway, I wanted to share my “stuff”, and this is as good a place as I know of to show it, so please leave comments. What do you think – good or bad? Let me know.

I guess you’re toggling between my two blogs, huh? Thanks for the wonderful comments about my stuff. I don’t consider myself all that talented, so it’s nice to hear when somebody actually likes something I’ve done. I’ve sold one piece on ebay but haven’t really tried to sell anything else. The ebay thing disappointed me because I sold it really, really cheap. I don’t know how to sell it otherwise. My wife knows a guy who owns a gallery, and she tells me I should talk to him, but again I don’t consider myself all that talented, and I might get embarassed and never paint again.
As for the kinship, welcome aboard. Or rather, I’m glad to know I’m not alone. I did hit the wall, but I didn’t realize it. Isn’t that strange? Didn’t even know the wall was there. Hmmm. Strange. And, I agree, life is all the sudden very easy. Thanks for sharing, Anne. Look forward to talking again.

Thanks Bob! Of all the junk I’ve posted on this blog, that Temple watercolor took the least amount of time. It really felt good painting like that. Very free-flowing and almost liberating. I sat on the couch next to my daughter and painted that thing in about 5 minutes, maybe less.
Never seen Henry Miller’s stuff before, but I just clicked the link. Spontaneous indeed! Holy cow. I’ve gotta check some more stuff out. You know, I’ve got a book of Vincent Van Gogh’s life and I haven’t read that either. Too busy looking at the paintings and drawings. I got to see some of the Louvre’s collection when it came to Atlanta about 4 years ago. Standing centimeters away from a Rembrandt sketch was amazing! I love art, man! So, I appreciate you stopping by and commenting on my junk! I’ll take your advice. Needed that, actually, because I’m always so careful… don’t want to mess up, but when I let it go… wow, so fun and rewarding.

Oh, man, that’s awesome! What a tribute. I feel like I imagine Theo must’ve felt after his brother died, wondering what he might have done to save his brother from killing himself. My brother and I were close, and he killed himself in 2006. Ever wondering what I could have, should have, done.
